Vernon Women in Business chooses one local charity to stand behind each year. Not a logo on a poster. Real fundraising, real dollars, and a room full of women who know how to get things done.
We'd rather you told us who deserves it than have the board decide on its own.

Visibility across our newsletter, website and social channels
Introductions. Our members run businesses across the North Okanagan, and a surprising amount of what a small charity needs is someone who knows someone.
Last year our partner was Community Dental, who received the proceeds from the 2026 Women of the Year Awards.
What happens next
Nominations close Friday September 25 at 5pm. Anything after that goes in next year's pile.
We shortlist the top three. The board reviews every submission and narrows it down.
We announce the three finalists the week of October 12, so you know who you're choosing between before you arrive.
Members vote at the October luncheon. Wednesday, October 14, 11:45 am. One vote each, counted in the room.
The winner is announced that day and becomes our charity partner for the year.
If you nominate someone, come vote. That's the whole point.
How to nominate
It takes about two minutes, and the only thing we really need is the organization's name and why you're putting them forward. Must be a registered local Canadian charity in good standing.
Nominations close Friday September 25 at 5pm. The top three go to a member vote at our October 14 luncheon.
