Krista Bussey has accepted the executive appointment of VWIB Vice-President until our 2012 Annual Election in June. Krista will complete the term of Heather Press, who regretfully resigned due to travel requirements in her new position at Tolko Industries.
Krista has served on previous executive and social committees, including our 2012 Christmas Party event. A big welcome to Krista from our VWIB executive, who unanimously approved her appointment in a vote held on December 7, 2011.

Vernon Women in Business (VWIB) is a nonprofit organization formed in the 1981 to provide support for all women. VWIB recognizes all the roles that women play and is a support group for all women: whether representing a company, self employed, in career transition, home making, and parenting.
VWIB recognizes the value of education and training, and annually support two female students attending business courses at Okanagan University College.
VWIB recognizes the importance of personal commitment, family and friendships, and community involvement ~ and celebrate outstanding women in Vernon and neighbouring communities through our prestigious "Woman of the Year" community award. The 25th annual Woman of the Year celebration will be held in May 2012.
VWIB recognizes the volunteer contribution of our VWIB members who serve in executive positions; membership, education and communication committees; or event co-ordinators. The Jan White Memorial Award honours an outstanding member for her sustained volunteer support of our organization.Â
