Networking that inspires, educates, and motivates

Monthly Networking Luncheons

Come join with like-minded local businesswomen on the second Wednesday of each month for VWIB Luncheons.

We believe in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all members and guests so that together we can build stronger and more meaningful relationships both personally and professionally.

You’ll get to catch up with old friends, network with other supportive women entrepreneurs, and find your community.

These luncheons provide opportunities for connection, collaboration and growth that will help you become more successful in your career.

Vernon Women in Business is a place to be welcomed and to belong!

I was only in Vernon Women in Business (VWIB), for about 4 months when I was asked by a previous executive member to join the team as Vice President (VP) back in June 2022. I wasn’t sure what I was getting thrown into but accepted the challenge after a few brief meetings with our then president Donna Koch. I felt in good hands with the confidence of Donna as a leader and our then Past-President Cindy Masters. I had lots of expertise to pull from.

VWIB had its first full year post-COVID in the 2022/2023 season and we were still feeling the effects of rebuilding the organization. The plan then was to focus on running a good meeting, at good venue and with good food, along with guest speakers and networking events, to be able to get the meetings to the point where they were nice and polished. Not to say we didn’t have our bumps along the way. But we worked them out and began coordinating with a new catering manager, Lisa, who was invaluable. Growing this relationship with the venue and Lisa put this year’s meetings in good standing. Members were happy and structuring lunches happened more easily.

This year, now being in the position of President and having at least half of our executive team being new, I am so excited to see the energy already and the planning we have set out for the 2023/2024 season. From our most recent member survey back in June we really sat down and defined what VWIB means to its members and the community. Through this discussion we are looking to implement and carry through the topics that were most relevant. We are looking forward to a great year and seeing all returning members and new members, with the 2023/2024 season focusing on networking luncheons and additional, exclusive member-only events.
